Thanks for visiting!
I look forward to meeting with you. I see therapy as a way to join two people in a non-judgmental alliance to figure out how to better manage the challenges and joys of life. I feel that creating a safe and real therapeutic environment will lead to positive change and growth.
I have worked in the field for 19 years and feel comfortable working with many client populations. I like to use multiple treatment modalities that will help meet a person’s needs. I have training in psychoanalytic approach and as I have grown in experience I also have a passion for using Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapies. I also see great benefit in using Mindfulness as a way to approach life in a purposeful manner.
My interests and passions are working with professionals who are experiencing burn out and also with families during the child bearing years. My most recent experience and specialty is working with women and families with Perinatal Mood Disorders. I live in Grand Rapids with my husband and two children.
